Bella Musica New Singers

You are welcome to stay and sing with us tonight even if you are not registered or auditioned. We will loan you music if we have enough (otherwise, please look on with someone). If you have not already done so, please speak with Arlene at the break, or after rehearsal to schedule an audition. This is an auditioned chorus so you should also be able to sight-read music. Auditions will be held during rehearsal for the next couple of weeks, and that if you have friends or colleagues interested in joining us, please invite them. Auditions are informal and stress-free. If you have any questions, please ask.

Chorus Day-to-Day: After today, please be sure to check the table for important chorus notes ("Nota Bene Bella"), to sign in, and to pick-up any late-arriving music. We rely on a good deal of volunteer muscle power to keep the chorus running smoothly. We will be asking for volunteers for specific jobs, but please feel free to chip-in where you see a need.

The board of Bella is a working board so you will see many of us singing right along side you. Feel free to grab our collective ear anytime. We are always looking for ways to make the Bella experience more enjoyable. So here are some names and faces you might like to get to know: Arlene Sagan, director, Cristin (soprano), and Erica (alto): co-presidents, Vivian (soprano): manager, Laura (alto), Jeff (tenor), Jordan (tenor). You can also always talk to your section leader.

Rehearsals: Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays from 7-10, and sectionals will be scheduled as needed.

All rehearsals will take place here, at Grace North Church, unless otherwise noted. Sectionals will take place at Arlene's place (ask a returning chorus member or your section leader for directions) unless other wise noted.

Concert Dress: To avoid late-hour shopping trips, you should know that our concert dress is:

For women, long black slacks or skirts and long-sleeved black blouses.
For Men, black tuxedos with white shirts and black bow ties, or black suits.
For all, all music should be held in a black binder.
