Gala Recital Thank you, thank you, thank you! To the artists who put on a fabulous show! It was a wonderful evening. Thank you to all who solicited vendors, put the program together, picked up food & wine & dishes, helped setup, folded programs, schlepped things, sold tickets, moved music stands, stage managed and cooked! Most of all, thanks to those who attended & brought family & friends...Thank you to all!

Concert Preparation:Our concerts are fast approaching! Our first rehearsal w/ orchestra will take place here @ Grace North Church during regular rehearsal Tuesday, November 26. Be aware that this is coming! With the arrival of the concert season comes the need for volunteers. We need volunteers to

  1. Sell ads in our programs. Cristin has the information you can give to prospective advertisers
  2. Post flyers everywhere (volunteer to post them in specific regions)
  3. Get the word out about these concerts!
  4. Remember to remind friends and family that we are NOT at St. Joseph the Worker, but @ St. Paul's Episcopal in Oakland. 114 Montecito Avenue/ Oakland, CA 94610

Marcelle, Clarence, & Richard will all be singing with BCCO in the Mozart Mass in C minor. December 14 @ 8pm, December 15 @ 4 pm, and December 21 @ 8 pm, all at St. Joseph the Worker (http://www.bcco.org).

Asher Davison (clarinetist, bass, and occasional conductor) will sing a program of Stravinsky & Bach with the Oakland Symphony Chorus at First Congregational Church, Oakland next weekend. Performances are November 16, 8 pm, and November 17, 3 pm. (http://www.oakland-sym-chorus.org

Richard Mix will be singing music by Ockeghem in Davis next Sunday, November 17.

Asher will also be the assistant conductor with the Castro Valley Chamber Ensemble on Dec. 19.

Clarence Wright is interviewed about the San Francisco Vocal Consortium on "Pen Women Presents," on SF public access cable (Channel 29), December 22, 5 pm.
